Got plans for Memorial Day? Will you be grilling in the backyard? Watching a ball game?

Why not spend some time getting active while celebrating the deeper meaning of Memorial Day?

Join us for the Carry the Load Dallas Memorial March as we honor and celebrate the sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes — military, law enforcement, firefighters and first responders.

The Center for Disc Replacement is a proud team sponsor of the 2018 event.

You’re invited to join our team and walk with us, donations or raising funds is optional. The celebration kicks off at 3:30pm, right after the opening ceremonies and the National Relay Teams arrives on Sunday, May 27, at Reverchon Park, 3505 Maple Avenue in Dallas.

Carry the Load is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring our nation’s heroes. Since 2011, the organization has raised more than $17.7 million; proceeds help build awareness of the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes, educate and inspire young people, and support non-profit organizations that provide healing services to veterans.

The Memorial weekend program concludes a monthlong National Relay, bringing together relay teams that have walked 4,300 miles from the West Coast (Seattle to Dallas) and 2,100 miles from the East Coast (New York to Dallas.)  In addition, more than 50 City Rallies are taking place around the nation this month.

Just lace up your sneakers, gather your family and friends, and come on out! It’s a great way to get some exercise while you remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.
